Sometimes the word wisdom is lost on me.  It seems so vague or I think it is given only to people like Solomon.  On the other hand, the terms knowledge, insight and judgement sound like things that I want.

Yesterday in my post about faith I learned that God longs to give to those who ask for what they need or want. Today in James I read the same message— ASK!  Ask God for what you need.

It’s good news for me and I bet it’s good news for you too.  The news that the very nature of God is to give to everyone who asks.  He doesn’t care if you have asked one time or a thousand times.  He doesn’t care because he doesn’t keep score.

So today I will take that advice.  I will take God at His word and I will ask him for what I need.  I will bask in the knowledge that I love a God who loves me and loved me first.

But anyone who needs wisdom should ask God, whose very nature is to give to everyone without a second thought, without keeping score. Wisdom will certainly be given to those who ask.

  1. This blog is a great reminder today for me!! Thank you! A reminder that God has given His children all good things and placed in them the privilege to ask… and receive… in His Good time!. We must trust Him with His timing …knowing He has eternal wisdom and will do all things well.
