What is your treasure? Do baubles or trinkets tell the tale of a life well lived? Can dollar signs really assign worth? Is it true that he who dies with the most toys wins? I can hear you now. Of course not! you exclaim. And, I agree with you. Life isn’t measured in the same way we count our money.
So, why live as if it is? Why spend your life toiling and striving for something that means NOTHING at the end of your life and barely anything DURING your life.
Why do you trade time with loved ones to obtain MORE? More stuff, more junk, more headache for those left behind.
What is true treasure?
STOP. Make a decision. Decide that from this point forward you will use your assets whatever they may be to make a difference. An eternal difference. Nobody cares if your shoes match your bag anyway. So lighten up. Literally…lighten your load and the load of your loved ones. Learn to leave worldly things in the world. Don’t be distracted and don’t be fooled.
Redefine the word treasure. Go. Make a difference in your perception, your life and your world.
Matthew 6:19 CEB
Stop collecting treasures for your own benefit on earth, where moth and rust eat them and where thieves break in and steal them.
